Anticosti Island, located in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence in Quebec, Canada, is one of the largest islands in the country and is known for its rugged natural beauty and rich biodiversity. It features dramatic cliffs, dense boreal forests, and an abundance of white-tailed deer, which were introduced in the late 19th century. The island is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its exceptionally well-preserved fossil record from the Paleozoic era.
