Antarctica
Danco Island
Last updated: 2018
Danco Island is a small, scenic island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, popular among expedition cruise visitors for its stunning views and accessible wildlife. Tourists can enjoy close encounters with gentoo penguin colonies, dramatic ice formations, and panoramic hikes offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding glaciers and mountains. As part of the Antarctic experience, Danco Island provides a peaceful and photogenic stop that highlights the continent’s raw natural beauty.
I visited Antarctica in March 2018 on a memorable 10-day trip from Ushuaia. I had amazing time and this is probably the most beautiful place in the world.
