Kosovo
Last updated: 2005
Kosovo is a dynamic and emerging travel destination in the Balkans, offering a mix of Ottoman-era towns, vibrant street life, and stunning mountain landscapes. Visitors can explore cultural gems like Prizren and Peja, hike in the Rugova Valley, and experience a youthful energy in the capital, Pristina. With its rich history, welcoming locals, and affordable travel options, Kosovo is gaining attention as an off-the-beaten-path gem for curious travelers.
Kosovo was a quick visit in 2005 during my overland Balkans trip. We literally visited only Kosovo and crossed the country from Montenegro and to North Macedonia.
