Guangxi

Last updated: 2009

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is famed for its dramatic karst landscapes, especially around Guilin and the Li River, which offer some of the most iconic scenery in China. The region is rich in ethnic culture, with diverse minority groups (particularly the Zhuang) and traditional crafts, festivals, and cuisine adding depth to the visitor experience. Bordering Vietnam and with both coastal and mountain vistas, Guangxi also draws tourists through cross-border routes, rural eco-tourism, and sites like the Detian Waterfall.
